The Daily Page is a collection of excerpts taken from the daily Kabbalah lesson with Dr. Michael Laitman and Bnei Baruch.

Be Your Own Observer

We have many different desires inside and each of them must go through correction in a specific order. Depending on the connection of desires inside the soul, a person reveals his connection with other people.

Therefore, we do not know the true reasons for the states we go through, but we have to understand that their order is predetermined. The only thing that depends on us is how to go through them: by way of Light or by way of suffering. In any case, without understanding why it is happening, we will have to accept the revelation of any state as a useful occurrence.

We don’t have any control over the things that are already happening. We have to accept the things that come to us with gratitude, correct them, and move on. We should never try to reject the next state because we thereby refuse to accept the means that are given to us for our advancement.

There are no states that do not facilitate advancement. Therefore, we shouldn’t torture ourselves with doubts: Is this a good state or a bad one? We shouldn’t give them any personal attitude. It’s best to look at the things happening to you “from aside,” as if you are an outside observer. I have to go through this state and that means I act, go through it, and advance onwards. Everything is for the best (HaKol Le Tova)!

Daily Kabbalah Tip
Advice in the daily Kabbalah lesson is recommended, practical tasks for advancing spiritually.

Everything depends on preparation.

Our preparation for the approaching emptiness that is created after a big congress should be to awaken ourselves in advance to fear that we will not have fearfulness. We need, as it were, to prepare a warehouse with a stock of fear for ourselves, fear to not forget the attribute of bestowal.

The emptiness is created when we are in connection with others, receive their deep impressions, actually absorb them, and when these deep impressions lose their source at the end of the congress, an empty space remains. If I prepare myself correctly, I come to the congress with a clear mind, do the inner work, and constantly think of how I fill the cavity that is me, that I am actually building at the moment. If I perform preparation correctly, then afterwards I won’t feel any tiredness, weakness, or empty space.

Motivational Quotes

Steering Wheel, Accelerator

We need to remember — as much as we can — that heavenly help is available to us. This enhances our ability to use it. How should we look at this heavenly help? Where may we find it?

Heavenly help is the vehicle the Creator places at our disposal. It’s the Creator’s gift to us, His blessing. However, we need to drive it, to ride it. We need to control its main instruments — the steering wheel and accelerator — our desire and ambition.

Then, this marvelous vehicle has other instruments we need to use. One is gratitude — thankfulness, appreciation for the Creator’s gift of life. Another is joy — as a team of horses senses the moods of its driver, so heavenly help senses our moods. The more alive we are with the joy of being alive, the more alive it is in carrying us quickly to our destinations.

Finally, we need to trust in this help. We must let go and let the help, help — give ourselves over, surrender ourselves — and let heavenly help carry us to our every dream.

Fabulously Wealthy
Many fictional stories center on fabulously wealthy individuals, and, as we read them, we think to ourselves this is not real. But, in truth, our lives also center on a Creator who is endlessly powerful, and in terms of health, wealth and success can give us whatever we want.

Baal Shem Tov, 19th Elul, 5770

Daily Teachings of the Baal Shem Tov:

The Baal Shem Tov often told his disciples that even non-Jews know that one should never scorn any person. As the folk adage goes, “Take a good look at what you have done, and at another’s expense you won’t have fun.”
(Luchos Erez, 59)
