Todays eMussar Lesson 12th Tishrei 5770

eMussar Lesson for 12th Tishrei, 5770 –
The Secret Blessings

Todays eMussar Lesson

eMussar – The Wisdom of Personal Growth
A daily inspirational, concise idea, with a suggested action.

OHR HATORAH\TORAH EMANATIONS

Moshe blessed his beloved People of Israel before departing from this world. As he blessed them – the Torah and HaShem – also joined Moshe in blessing the People of Israel. The three-fold blessing of Moshe, the Torah, and HaShem combined to evoke a durable and powerful blessing for the People of Israel that can never be broken.

The holy Torah is rooted in the highest spiritual heights, emanating with the secret of creation. The first three words of the Torah (Bereishis barah Elokim) hint that HaShem created the world for the sake of Torah. More precisely, to reveal the Hidden Light of HaShem that is illuminated in the Torah. The Torah sustains the life of all worlds as King David said, “Life is found in the radiant countenance of the King.” The Torah – “the radiant countenance of the King” – is the root and source of all blessings.

The People of Israel are the guardians of the Torah. Through study and deed they shine the holy light of Torah to the nations of the world. Therefore, when Moshe blessed the People of Israel, both the Torah and HaShem, also gave their blessings. In this way, the People of Israel are eternally empowered to uphold the Torah.

The Zohar teaches: “HaShem, the Torah, and the People of Israel – are one.” Through the combined contributions of “the three partners” – HaShem, the Torah, and the People of Israel – the blessing of life flowing from the Torah is forever established.
[Based on Da’as Torah of Rabbi Yerucham Levi and the Nefesh HaChaim]

TODAY: As you study Torah, have the awareness that Torah study strengthens the existence of all creation; and enjoy the wellspring of blessings of HaShem, the Torah, and Moshe, that flow from the Torah.

HITBODEDUT MEDITATION AND PERSONAL PRAYER – When Mashiach comes

There are certainly worthy people who do not practice Hitbodedut. But I call them confused. When Mashiach suddenly comes and calls them, they will be disoriented and confused.

But those who practice Hitbodedut will be like a person who wakes up from a restful sleep with a calm, settled mind. This is how we will be when Mashiach comes: our minds will be calm and settled, without panic or confusion.

Sichot Haran #228

Rabbi Nachman of Breslov
“It is a great mitzvah to be happy.”
