Tikun Habris – 4th Tammuz, 5769

Tikun Habris – 4th Tammuz, 5769

True Kabbalah org

Tikun Habris is the most important topic to discuss in this low generation, and no one is dealing with it.

If you are Jewish then you are part of the Holy nation. Have mercy on your holy soul and stop blemishing it with the sin of wasting seed. Take heed of what the kabbalah says and stop committing this sin of wasting seed.

The Sin of Wasting Seed

When a person spills seed many impure forces attach themselves to the hairs of that region, from there are created evil spirits. They are the ones that are called ‘painful afflictions of man’. After he dies they do not leave him since they are his sons, there is no suffering bigger then this, may the merciful one save us.

(Shavet Musar 27)

Getting Dressed – Rav Moshe Feinstein On The American Wardrobe

The Kitzur Shulchan Aruch brings L’Halacha that a Jew may not wear clothing styles like a non-Jew. The poskim bring many different reasons for this and each reason has a specific implication. Rav Moshe Feinstein (YD 1:81)was asked in 1952 whether Polish immigrants who arrived on the shores of the US were obligated to wear clothing like they wore in Europe or they are permitted to adopted classic American style dress. Since almost everybody in not Makpid, Rav Moshe was asked if there was validity to their leniency.

Rav Moshe brings the opinion of the Maharik who says that non-Jewish clothing are assur if they are worn for Pritzus or Ga’ava or if a Jew wears it because he specifically wants to dress like a Goy. Even if the person wants to dress like a goy, if there is a valid purpose for this type of dress it is permitted (this would apply to professional dress code like Doctors). He also brings the Rema who holds like the Ran that it is assur even for no apparent reason because it may have something to do with Avodah Zara an Darkei HaEmori.

Therefore concludes Rav Moshe there is no issur whatsoever for a person to dress American style even straight off the boat from Poland. Moreover, says Rav Moshe, what makes this style Goyish? When the style first started the Jews dressed that way as well, so the Goyim cannot claim it to be their own. Therefore even according to the Vilna Gaon who argues on the Maharik and the Rema, in this case there is no problem.

With regard to keeping the Minhag of their fathers, says Rav Moshe, since this is not called clothing of Goyim but rather clothing of American Jews, there is no problem to change from the clothing style of the Jews in the place you came to the style of the Jews in the place where you are now.

In closing Rav Moshe says that this only applies to respectable clothing. Styles that are not modest fall under the issur even if the Jews adopt it from the outset.

Important Note: We try to convey the Tshuva to the best of our ability. We admit that our understanding may not be accurate. One should learn the tshuva to verify the accuracy of our interpretation. Please also understand that this Tshuva may not be the final word on this topic. One should consult a Rav before drawing any conclusions.

Eitzos And Machshavos – Just Leave The Game Plan To Hashem

In the closing Tefila of Shmoneh Esrei we ask Hashem that all those who stand up against us and think of evil things to do to us, “Hafer Atzasam V’Kalkel Machshavtam”, nullify their plans and ruin their thoughts. What is the meaning of this double language?

Maybe we can suggest as follows. Eitza is a game plan how to reach our specific goal. Machshava is the underlying goal itself. When someone plots against us, our first request is to stop his plan. Even if Hashem accepts our pleas, the person may try again using different means to carry out their evil plan. Even if they themselves do not do so, once the idea is in the air others may pick up on it. After Hashem has put a halt to the immediate danger, we then ask Hashem to ruin the whole idea behind the plan, laying this trouble to rest once and for all.

Similarly we say in Yehi Chivod, “Rabos Machshavos B’Lev Ish”, a person has many needs that he requests from Hashem, and surely Hashem who loves us will give it to us. We also have a specific way that we think it will happen. However “Atzas Hashem Hi Sakum”, not everything will be given to you the way you envisioned it. Hashem has His own way of doing things, but if you have Emunah and Bitachon and leave it to Him, He will deliver.

Just a thought.

Zechiras Miriam

The Ups And Downs Of Experience

They say an optimist with experience is called a cynic. By that same token an opinionated person with experience should be called nothing other than humble and quiet. If we are quick to form opinions about everything, including people, events, decisions made, etc. more often than not, at a later point in time, we will realize that we did not know all the details and our opinions were based on partial information.

To put it simply if we are honest with ourselves, we know that we are often very wrong. If we are smart, the next time we are sure we know what “he or this” is all about, we will be cautious about expressing ourselves by remembering our past errors.

“Zachor Eis Asher Asa Hashem L’Miriam BaDerech B’Tzaischem MiMitzrayim”

The Ramban and other Rishonim count, among the Mitzvos Aseh Min HaTorah, the mitzva of remembering and saying with your mouth each day what Hashem did to Miriam when she spoke about her brother Moshe. The Chofetz Chaim in Shaar Tvunah Perek 12 says that being Mikayem this mitzva can save you from the aveira of Lashon Hara. More than just saying the pasuk, says the Chofetz Chaim, one must think about the incident in order for it to have its intended effect.

Self-Growth - Keep Smiling

I, You…

By Rabbi Avraham Tzvi Schwartz

I am you and you are I, and we are one — as long as we choose to see it this way. Let’s be good to ourselves.*

* The Kotzker Rebbe would say, “If I am I and you are you, then I am I and you are you; but if I am you and you are I, then I am not I and you are not you.” This however is no contradiction. A person should worry about his own self-growth. Still, such growth is only possible when we concern ourselves with the welfare of others.
